Daniel Shim received his JD from Emory University in 1992, and his BA in history, with distinction, from Duke University in 1989.
He was admitted to the Georgia Bar in May of 1992, and has practiced in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death, social security disability, family law and criminal law. He has handled a wide variety of both civil and criminal appellate cases in both the state and federal courts, including the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. He is currently admitted to the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Georgia Supreme Court, and the United States District Courts for both the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia.
Mr. Shim is married to his wife Jennifer, with whom he has three children, Annabelle, Lucas, and Andrew. Mr. Shim is a fundraising cyclist for the Georgia Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, an avid reader, a lifelong college basketball fan, and an outdoor enthusiast.
